These paints can be applied to a variety of surfaces including styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and common model plastics. The paint boasts excellent coverage, smooth flow, and easy blending. Prior to curing, it can be easily washed away with plain water.
When using an airbrush, ensure to utilize any of the following Tamiya thinners:
- Thinner: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.
Tamiya bottle paint label meanings and quick tips:

- Thinning: The paint can be thinned for airbrushing with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.
- Flattening: Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) can serve as a flattening agent. Simply combine any X-gloss color with flat base in a 1:1 ratio.
