Historical Context
Tamiya acrylic paints are produced using water-soluble acrylic resins, suitable for brush painting or airbrushing. They can be applied to styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and all common model plastics. This paint is known for its excellent coverage, smooth flow, and easy blending capabilities. Before it cures, any paint can be rinsed with plain water.
When using an airbrush, ensure to incorporate any of the following Tamiya thinners: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.
Tamiya paint label meanings and quick tips:

- The paint may be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.
- Utilizing Tamiya Lacquer Thinner will produce faster drying times and a harder finish.
- Finishing:
- Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) function as a flattening agent for Tamiya Gloss paints. Combine any X-gloss color with flat base at a mixing ratio of 1:1.
