Historical Context
Tamiya acrylic paints are formulated using water-soluble acrylic resins, making them suitable for both airbrushing and brush painting. This versatile paint can be applied to styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and most typical model plastics. It offers excellent coverage, smooth flow, and easy blending, with the possibility of washing away any mistakes using plain water before it cures.
When using an airbrush, it is essential to combine the paint with one of the following Tamiya thinners: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.
Tamiya bottle paint label meanings and quick tips:

- Finishing:
- Use Tamiya X-21 Flat Base (Items 81521 and 81021) to achieve a flat effect by blending with any X-gloss color in a 1:1 ratio.
