Historical Context
Tamiya acrylic paints consist of water-soluble acrylic resins, ideal for both brush painting and airbrushing. This paint adheres well to styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and common model plastics. It flows smoothly, provides great coverage, and blends effortlessly. Before curing, the paint can be easily removed with plain water.
When using an airbrush, ensure to utilize any of the following Tamiya thinners: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.

The paint can be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.
The paint can also be thinned using Tamiya Lacquer Thinner for quicker drying and a harder finish. - Finishing:
Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) can serve as a flattening agent for Tamiya Gloss paints. Mix ratio is 1:1. - Thinner:
Use Tamiya Paint Retarder (item 87114) for a smoother finish when brushing.
