Historical Context
Tamiya acrylic paints consist of water-soluble acrylic resins which are ideal for both brush painting and airbrushing. These paints are compatible with styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and a variety of model plastics. They offer good coverage, smooth flow, and easy blending. Before it cures, the paint can be removed using plain water.
When airbrushing, ensure to utilize any of the following Tamiya thinners: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.

• The paint can be thinned for airbrushing with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.

• Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) can act as a flattening agent for Tamiya Gloss paints. Add any X-gloss color followed by flat base in a 1:1 ratio. - Thinner:
