Historical Context
Tamiya acrylic paints are formulated using water-soluble acrylic resins, ideal for both brush painting and airbrushing tasks. These paints are compatible with styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, as well as common plastics used in modeling. The application delivers excellent coverage, a smooth flow, and allows for easy blending. Uncured paint can be removed with plain water.
When using an airbrush, ensure the appropriate Tamiya thinners are utilized: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.
