Historical Context
Tamiya acrylic paints are formulated using water-soluble acrylic resins, making them suitable for both brush painting and airbrushing. This particular paint can be applied to styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and all common model plastics. It provides excellent coverage, smooth flow, and offers easy blending capabilities. Before curing, any excess paint can be easily cleaned off with water.
When utilizing airbrushing techniques, it is essential to incorporate one of the following Tamiya thinners: Items-81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.

- The paint can be thinned for airbrushing with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.

- Thinner:
- For better brush results, apply Tamiya Paint Retarder (item 87114) to achieve a smoother finish.
- Flattering:
- Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) work as a flattening agent. Mix within a 1:1 ratio of gloss color to flat base.
